Jay Kelly

When Jay Kelly set out to launch a Web development company in 2006, he sought to offer clients the one thing he felt was missing in the marketplace: Certainty.

He had seen the mixed results that other developers often delivered. But his own experience in creating optimal interactive experiences assured him that he could build an enterprise that never failed to fulfill its promise to clients.

Over a design and development career that spans 15 years, Jay gained in-depth experience with a wide range of technologies and development approaches.

As director of creative and production services for development firm Greystone.net, he developed complex Web sites for hospitals, health care systems and university medical centers. He was also integral in developing Greystone’s many health information products that are currently featured on well-known health-related sites. Jay also managed, designed, and produced interactive CD-ROM products to inform and educate patients and families of patients, drive traffic to the hospitals’ Web sites and increase online registration and appointment scheduling.

Prior to Greystone, Jay served as the creative director of Avid Design, where he developed interactive solutions for clients such as Lockheed Martin, The American Cancer Society, Minute Maid and MediaLink Worldwide, among others. And he began his career by working as a designer at a mid-sized printing company and in the advertising department of a daily newspaper.

Jay holds a bachelor of arts degree from Carson-Newman College, where he double majored in art (with an emphasis in graphic design) and communication arts (with an emphasis in journalism). He is a member of the Board of Councilors at the Carter Center and is active in Habitat for Humanity, having traveled as far as Mumbai, India to build affordable housing.

Jay annually attends the Zend and Tek Conferences; is a member of the Atlanta PHP Users Group; and stays in-touch with emerging technologies and best practices for web and application development.
