About Jay Kelly

Jay Kelly has more than ten years of experience in designing websites and multimedia pieces for nationally known clients. He has held positions as the Creative Director of Avid Design and Director of Creative and Production Services for Greystone.Net.

Jay holds a Liberal Arts degree from Carson-Newman College where he double majored in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design and Communication Arts with an emphasis in Journalism.

As an entry-level designer, Jay held positions in a mid-sized printing company and in the advertising department of a daily newspaper. While at the newspaper, he was solely responsible for the redesign of the paper, working with the Publisher, Editor-In-Chief, and focus groups to create a new look for the first issue of the new millennium.

As Creative Director at Avid Design, Jay developed interactive solutions for clients such as Lockheed Martin, The American Cancer Society, Minute Maid, MediaLink Worldwide and many others.

While at Greystone.Net, Jay developed large sites for hospitals, health care systems and university medical centers. He was also integral in the layout, design, production, and maintenance of Greystone's many health information products that are featured on well-known health related sites. Jay also managed, designed, and produced interactive CD-ROM products designed to inform and educate patients and families of patients, drive traffic to the hospitals’ websites and increase online registration and appointment scheduling.

As a senior-level designer, Jay hopes to continue growing in this exciting and innovative profession and provide his new and existing clients with high-quality, professional interactive design and development services.

Browser Tip

Did you know that you can increase the size of the text on web sites that are designed to be standards compliant?

In many of the recent browsers, if you hold down control andusing the scroll-wheel on your mousescroll toward yourself, the text size will zoom up. Likewise, if you scroll away from yourself it decreases the text size.

Some browsers support key commands as well. By holding down control and pressing the '+' key, you can increase text size and by holding control and pressing the '-' key, you can decrease text size. Also, many browsers have text size options in the 'View' menu.
